Meet Up This Weekend

Meet Up This Weekend

Ok, so if anyone's in Dunfermline or is planning to come to this, here's what's happening:

Friday Night - tea time onwards - just a few beers around Dunfy, prob starting in Tappies. Who knows there may be some ex-Skids around.

Saturday - 8pm Corner Music Bar - Everyone from the night before, plus a few extra, plus, for definite, Bill Simpson, Tam Kellichan, Mike Baillie and Bruce Watson will be around to have a chat a beer and sign some stuff. Maybe Bill will sing us a song or two?? JJ Johnson has emailed to say he can't make it this year, I didn't hear anything from Russell Webb or Richard Jobson, and we know that Stuart will be there in spirit.

Hopefully see you all there!

Pete

Well what a fantastic weekend

Well what a fantastic weekend - I wish it wasn't over.

Great to see the gang again, pity some of the faces on the site couldn't get there this year, but there's always 2010, eh?

Great to see as always, Bill (sorry about the Abba argument!, lol) and Tracey, Mike and Jill, Bruce and Sandra and this year, Tam and Lynn. Some great stories coming out of all of them, wish I could remember them all.

Fingers crossed there's gonna be a band playing next year - Tam really wants to do something., so that's to look forward to...

Might be able to face another beer in 12 months. Did we ever find out who Vanguard's Crusade was?

A Night To Remember! Wow! A

A Night To Remember! Wow! A great night and a chance to meet and chat with the musicians who crafted the soundtrack of my teenage years. This will remain with me forever as did the first time I saw The Skids live at the Capitol Aberdeen in '79. Many thanks to you all for welcoming me into the fold especially Bill, Mike, Cal, SMID, Susan, PT and the guys. I just wish I'd been around for the previous two years gigs but here's hoping we may see another live event in the not too distant future Till then, I'm looking forward to chatting with you here or perhaps have a beer at Tappies and catch a band at PJ's next time I pass by Dunfermline. Holy To The High! John

I'm Caught In A Charade

Hi Guys, Literally just back

Hi Guys,

Literally just back from Scotland now.

Thanks to everyone for being so welcoming to me, especially Bald, Bald, Blond, Grey, and Specs. Also thanks to Skids that were there for fielding my searching questions.

I had a great time, liver will take a while to recover though!

And Mike, no, I won't be selling the wine glass on e-bay.

Take care of yourselves

Suz xx

Had such a great time I was

Had such a great time I was gutted to come home. Thanks to the guys for coming out and sharing a few light ales and stories with us, really felt like going out with friends rather than the band. Many thanks to the usual crew too (you know who you are, as ever excellent company), newbies Suzy and John and the rest of the chaps that I didn't get to chat to.

Ahoy, til next time: Alan C.
