I'm just in from the boozer, listening to Buffalo Skinners and missing Stuart like fuck, as we all do. I really, really want to think of his loss in a positive light so what do we think will be the line up for his band in the hereafter?? This is the first thing I want to clap eyes & lugs on in eternity :-
William Stuart Adamson - Vocals / Guitars
Phil Lynnot - Vocals / Bass
Rory Gallagher - Vocals / Guitars
John Bonham - Drums

Didn`t realise you were such a Hanoi Rocks fan Pete!
didn't know he was a ruts fan either, saw them backing a shity band at the ballroom the damned i think they were called
the ruts were fantastic that nite
Love the Ruts, can't say I'm a huge Hanoi fan, quite like some of their stuff, but was struggling to think of dead drummers!!

keith moon , john bonham ,mitch mitchell , not quite the same genre but all great drummers Pete .
Pete, I started off as you did, with Stuart singing/playing and John McGeoch on guitars, which is immediately nearer to the Skids than Big Country. With those two I'd put Pete De Freitas of the Bunnymen on drums. But then I'm toiling for a bassist of that era who could play Bill & Russell's bass lines. Dee Dee's a bit limited. Sid??? Any other contenders?
Ta for the link KAMDude, that's top stuff. And the great thing about youtube is one hit leads to at least another dozen, so it put a night in. Cheers mate.

Rory Gallagher was an amazing guitarist in his day , so talented , didnt the early skids or was it tattoo do some covers of his ?
saw Rory in belfast in 1984, one of the best gigs I ve ever been to, he broke a string mid song and the next minute a roadie runs on with a new string and between the two them they get the string on and tuned up whilst still playing the song , id never seen anything like that before
